Can I leave my umbrella or cushion outside all the time?

While our products are designed for outdoor use, we recommend that they are stored, dry and safely, when not in use to minimise wear and tear and extend the life of your products. Store your sun umbrella in its individual carry bag. A protective cover is available for the Go Large umbrellas.


How colour fast is your fabric?

The Premium Pattern range of printed fabrics has a colour fastness rating of 3-4, or approximately 1-year/300 hours of normal exposure. The sun umbrellas have been designed for less intense, ‘weekend’ use however if you will be using your umbrella intensely we recommend the Luxury Stripe range. The Luxury Stripe range of woven fabrics has a colour fastness rating of 7-8, or approximately 5 years. The Go Large Premium Pattern range of fabrics utilises a new printing process that achieves a colour fastness rating of 5-6 (or about 2-3 years).

Where in the world do you deliver?

Basil Bangs delivers worldwide using TNT, who offers a fast and efficient service to your door. TNT requires a signature for delivery and can’t deliver to a PO Box. You can read more in our shipping and delivery policy.


Can I design my own umbrella?

Basil Bangs can produce small run custom design umbrellas for commercial customers. Minimum quantities and other conditions apply. Drop us a line to if you would like more information.


How do I keep my umbrella looking good?

What do I do if I have a problem with my umbrella?

Do you have gift vouchers?

Of course! Vouchers are available in any amount and are redeemable directly through Vouchers are non transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Vouchers are valid for twelve months from purchase date. Please contact us on to organise a Basil Bangs gift voucher.


How do the various umbrellas differ?

The umbrellas vary in size and shape, materials and finishes. We recommend looking at our product specifications before making a purchase to ensure you’re buying the best umbrella for the job!


What is your warranty?

Basil Bangs warrants its products against defects in materials and workmanship but not damage caused by misuse, inappropriate use or normal wear and tear

Faulty product validated under a warranty claim will be repaired or replaced at the discretion of Basil Bangs. Basil Bangs will not be responsible for any costs, losses or damages incurred as a result of loss or use of product.

All warranty claims must be made at the place of purchase, or if purchased through Basil Bangs by sending an email to Proof of purchase (receipt with date of transaction) is essential for all warranty claims.
