Business Development Manager

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to work with our Directors and play a key role in continuing to grow our national trade clientele. Our ideal candidate will be able to implement an effective sales strategy that expands our reach, strengthens client relationships, and builds revenue.

The position is full-time, based at our Sydney Head Office in Brookvale.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Working closely with key A&D clients ;
  • Seeking out new business opportunities and leads ;
  • Managing client portfolio of new and existing customers ;
  • Growing new industry partnerships ;
  • Splitting time between client service / business development ;
  • Channel support, including developing relevant collateral and on-site visits ;
  • Provide after-sales support ;
  • Create customized sales plans for key clients ;
  • Promote new products/services to existing customers ;

This is perfect role if you are looking to join a growing business in the sales and design sector. It suits someone with a keen interest in architecture and design, looking to progress into a more strategic, relational sales career.

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated, applicable experience in a relevant sales role in the A&D sector ;
  • Ability to action a sales strategy, from inception to implementation ;
  • Excellent time management skills ;
  • The ability to confidently build and manage client relationships, and general day-to-day enquiries ;
  • Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills ;
  • Good attention to detail in handling business development leads and managing projects from lead to delivery ;
  • Experience with ERP and CRM software ;
  • Comfortable using Excel ;
