Meet the Maker: Our Italian factory

Our Beppi and Monte deck chairs are proudly hand assembled by multi-generational craftspeople in northern Italy, close to where Nonno Bangs hails. Once the epicentre of large Italian garment and shoe production, it is here that we have been working with our chair makers, between the foothills of the Alps, and close to the Adriatic.

We adore working with family businesses like ours, and this team of wood workers and craftspeople is no exception. They have great pride in the products they produce, creating exceptional outdoor products for some of the Mediterranean’s large commercial beach resorts since the 1950’s.

The timber used in the chairs is responsibly sourced, FSC certified Swiss Beech, which is then turned, finished and hand assembled in Italy, minimising our manufacturing footprint. Using a combination of machine and hand proceses, the chairs pass through five sets of hands, ensuring a beautifully finished, consistent quality product.

Commercially proven designs with awning-grade acrylic slings, our new deck chairs are equally at home on rooftops, in bars and on back decks.
